I have several tricks up my sleeve when it comes to carb counting. I love the CalorieKing iPhone app. I have lists at home. I frequent the websites of restaurants. And I’m quite good at SWAGging*.
But my friend Manny Hernandez shared a cool trick that I didn’t know of: Google.
You Google search any food name followed by “carbohydrates” and most of the time, the search result will be the nutrition information. I say most of the time because as I was playing around there were a few items that didn’t come up.
The source of the data is the USDA. You can even select the serving size.
I’ll wait a second while you open a second tab and do a quick Google search.
Wasn’t that cool?
*SWAG = scientific wild a$$ guess
