D-Mom Advertisers

by Leighann on April 7, 2012

I would like to welcome new advertiser Nova Diabetes Care, who makes the Nova Max combined blood glucose and blood ketone meter. We are big fans of using a blood ketone meter over urine strips in our house, especially for young or sleeping children.

Click on the ad up top and you can receive a free meter from the company.

Speaking of advertising, there are currently button ads available for smaller diabetes-related companies (see the six 125 x 125 buttons to the right). Pricing is reasonable. Please use the contact form to inquire about advertising on D-Mom Blog.

Many thanks go to the advertisers who help to make D-Mom Blog possible.

This was perfect timing. I just did my test strip order and ordered some of the Nova Max strips to try out. I need to get a meter so this saves me from buying one.

Are you trying it for the ketone strips?

I was actually trying it for the glucose strips. I saw that they rated high in a study so wanted to try them out. I have heard different things about them and figured I won’t know unless I try.

We just got a prescription for the Nova Max ketone strips, and will be picking up our prescription later today. I can’t wait to try them out.

If you are getting one for blood glucose testing only, and if you have a Medtronic pump, you can ask for a free NovaMax Link and it will link your numbers over to the pump. Then just also ask for a free ketone meter. My kids have used the Nova Max meters for years and we have had no problems. Plus the strips are cheaper for us!
