I love it when they match!

I noticed the high alert on the Dexcom is set pretty high. Do you have the rise and fall rate alerts enabled? I have my high alert set quite a bit lower. I figure I want to be alerted to what is going on long before I hit 300. I don’t have it repeat the alert for a few hours, but knowing what is happening earlier has been helpful.

We do have the rise and fall rates enabled.

I’ve noticed a lot of people have their high alert set much lower than we do and that’s definitely something I want to learn more about. I know when we started, both the endo and trainer said to set it high or the alarms would drive us mad. She has some post breakfast spikes that go up and come down so quickly that we usually wait them out a bit. But other times of the day we definitely want to know before she’s that high.

I’m still learning how to best use this technology 🙂
