If you were to ask Q, she wouldn’t trade her insulin pump for a return to multiple daily injections (MDI), though her dream diabetes device would be inserted once and you would only have to refill the insulin.
It’s rare that she doesn’t have something connected to her. She has been using the insulin pump for almost three years and we started trying out the continuous glucose monitor (CGM) this spring.
She’s used to being connected to her “gadgets.”
Here is a song that Q sang on the fly as she realized she wasn’t hooked up to her pod or her CGM sensor. Good thing I happened to have my phone in my hand!
If I wasn’t filming she would have been A LOT more animated in her song and dance. Trust me!

How cute is that!? You go Q! My son (11 now, dx 05/09) will run around the house and roll around on the floor when we are changing his pump. Just to feel the freedom of “No Electronics On!” : )
LOL!! So cute! I just watched that with Jenna. She can relate to that feeling of freedom.
