I Want Candy!

I have added a new resource that I think will be an asset to us parents trying to let our kids be kids and indulge in a little candy from time to time. The new page includes tables of serving sizes and carb counts of commonly consumed candies and can be found in the navigation bar under All Things Food.

The problem I have had with other such lists on other sites is that they don’t often include serving sizes. For instance, Reese’s Peanut Butter cups come in a variety of weights, though the packages look exactly the same.

The list is not exhaustive and it’s a work in progress to be sure. I want to ensure that the information is accurate and reliable, so I am only including candy that I was able to find the nutritional data published on the company’s website.

Hopefully by Halloween I can include a table with “snack” and “fun” size candy. Because guessing carb counts is no fun.
