…but not a drop to drink.
After tennis lessons one night Q and I headed to Meijer’s to pick up a few groceries and grab a quick bite in the deli. We rarely shop at Meijer’s, opting most of the time for Target and a grocer closer to our house.
Part of our back-to-school preparations included getting a few packages of juice boxes to keep at school in the nurse’s office and her various low kits stashed throughout the school.
Meijer’s has a huge selection of juice. But once you eliminated all the juices that weren’t 100% juice and those that weren’t 15 grams of carbs, well, there weren’t any that were acceptable. They did have a large variety of Juicy Juice 100% juice boxes, but they were the larger boxes that had 22 or 23 grams of carbs.
A couple of brands were 15 grams of carbs, but the first ingredient was water. I’m sorry, but I’m not buying juice that’s mostly water.
Needless to say I had to make a second stop the next morning to procure juice boxes at the grocer. So much for Meijer’s being a one-stop-shop!
