{D-Mom Tested} Lauren’s Hope Princess Necklace GIVEAWAY

by Leighann on November 15, 2011

Laurens Hope Princess NecklaceIf diabetes has one positive aspect, it’s that it allows my little fashionista to accessorize!

I keep telling you that I think Lauren’s Hope has the best engraved medical ID bracelets we have found. Such great designs and they’ve held up to my active seven-year-old.

Q was recently looking over my shoulder as I read e-mail and she saw the announcement for the new princess necklaces and she gasped. That was followed by a “Mom! Can I please have that necklace. It’s so cute!”

Blue Circle

She was in luck because Lauren’s Hope was already making one up for us. She was incredibly excited the day the package came in the mail. She even asked if it was okay to wear both a bracelet and the necklace at the same time. (Of course.)

Lauren’s Hope has added some very cute necklaces to their collection including the Brunette Princess (shown above), the Blonde Princess, Pink Heart, and Pink Daisy. They also have boyish designs like the Robot, Dinosaur, Basketball, and Soccer Ball.

When Q first received this necklace she was so proud of it. She wanted to show everyone and even did a little diabetes awareness raising at school. She asked to do show-and-tell, told classmates why it was important, and answered questions about diabetes. Always the little advocate!

I absolutely love the basketball necklace!!! Our 2 year old loves the sport and would be thrilled to have an ID necklace all his own! I currently have not gotten a bracelet or necklace for him yet and my biggest fear is if he walks off in a store or something and people won’t realize why he’s not acting right.

These are adoreable for kids. So many children are ill now. Nothing touches my heart more than to see a sick child. We had a little one born with massive brain damage and C.P. She never knew anything but pain in her short life. She was fed with tubes and never got to talk, walk, run, play or even know who we were. But she was Loved and that we know, by her responses when we held her. We lost her at 4yrs. But they were beautiful years. When I see a sick child my heart breaks for the child and family. To win one of these, it would be given to another child on here that needs a necklace, someone who needs one and the family can not afford it. A gift to a child who lives a life of illness, but handles it better than any adult. Thank You for coming out with things just for Kids. They are the heart of this earth.

42 Aunt Tricia Mira November 16, 2011 at 9:41 pm

Her strength and courage amazes me every day as we learn to live with this terrible disease. She would be so excited to win her own “princess necklace”. Thanks to Lauren’s Hope for their generosity!

61 chrissy pierman November 23, 2011 at 5:01 pm

I would LOVE to have the blonde princess for my lil princess Jennifer, my lil girl is actually my grandaughter i adopted when she was a year old, she had such a rough start in life so i took her, money is tight as i also now have legal custody of her brother whom we fought the state to get him out of foster care, but they are together and we are happy, Diabetes was the last thing we needed but she is always so positive and when diagnosed and we were all crying she told us “Don’t cry for me when i’m not crying for myself, it could be worse, at least it’s not cancer” That from an 8 year old who had been very ill for months…her strength inspires me, she has seen that necklace on the website and i could see in her face she loved it, we ordered a bracelet at that time, i couldn’t afford both.
