I’ve been a “mommy blogger” for about 5 years and have written on several other platforms including being a contributing editor of a popular parent product review blog. I no longer have the time or effort to maintain those other sites because I am devoted to being a diabetes advocate.
While I realize that you come to D-Mom Blog for posts about diabetes in children, there really is more to life than diabetes. I have no intentions of flooding D-Mom Blog with product reviews that aren’t related to diabetes care.
However there are a few companies that I have worked with over the years that I have grown to love. These are products and brands that we spend our own money on, but that I also work with from time to time. Examples are Lands’ End and LeapFrog. I feel like these companies care about quality, price, and pleasing customers. And of course Q is always thrilled when we work with American Girl!
Some of these companies, while having nothing to do with diabetes, have been my strongest supporters when I have needed help fundraising. As we all know, diabetes is just one part of our lives, but there is always crossover.
So while I won’t be writing in those other venues anymore, I may from time to time post a review here that is not related to diabetes care. I will only publish these on the weekends so as not to take away from my regular topics.
If you are interested in these posts, then pull up a chair. If not, I won’t be offended. At all. And I hope that you can respect my decision to streamline my life by not needing to maintain several different websites.
