I am humbled and thankful that D-Mom Blog was recently featured on BabyCenter’s MOMformation blog by my friend Kristina Sauerwein.
I first met Kristina in New Jersey where we were both hosted by Johnson and Johnson for the Camp Baby blogger outreach trip. She is one of a handful of women I really connected with that weekend and I consider her an IRL friend. She and I have children of similar age and spacing, first a girl then a boy, and we are both mostly vegetarian.
It wasn’t until a few weeks after that trip that Q was diagnosed.
Had I known, I would have totally stocked up on Band-Aids, Neosporin, and Splenda at the product fair instead of baby shampoo!
After Q was diagnosed and I began writing publicly about it, Kristina reached out to me to tell me how she, too, is affected by diabetes. Read her post D-Moms: Parenting children with diabetes to learn more.
Read all of Kristina’s blog posts on MOMformation, follow her on Twitter as @sourwine, or read her non-fiction book Invisible Chains.
