Each year our family wears capes for our local ADA Step Out walk. This year was our third year walking on behalf of our daughter (wearing capes each time), but our fifth year walking altogether.
This year I thought I would get my act together and order matching shirts for our team. I designed our logo with Q’s help and uploaded it to an online store and placed our order. Unfortunately the company I used didn’t have kid sizes. I was so disappointed when I opened the box. The smalls were like nightgowns on my kids and the ink color didn’t match from shirt to shirt.
What was most disappointing was that I didn’t have a shirt that would fit Q! After all, we were walking for her.
Then I was looking for another product on Pump Wear and realized that they make custom walk shirts and have kid sizes. Had I known they make walk shirts, I probably would have ordered all of the shirts from them to begin with!
I quickly e-mailed Julie saying “HELP!” Our walk was not very far off and I was in a hurry.
Julie was such a doll and I uploaded my image and ordered the shirts within minutes. They were processed and mailed out quickly, arriving the day before our walk.
And I couldn’t be happier. If I make new shirts next year, I’m visiting the Pump Wear site first.
The shirts are Hanes and were thick and good quality. The image looked great. I have been washing the shirts inside out to try to preserve the image. It has faded just a tad, but that’s probably to be expected.
They are $8.25 which includes the printed image. (There is an additional charge for sizes XL and up and other options.) You can either upload your own image as we did, or choose from two of their designs (at an additional charge) and customize them.
Disclosure: I did not receive free products, however Pump Wear did expedite my order and offered me a small discount. Monetary compensation was not received and opinions are my own. Please read my disclosure statement.
