This is a long, long overdue Type 1 Tuesday! The switch from Google Feed Reader kind of threw me off. I still haven’t found a new one that I 100% like. What feed reader are you using now?
Here are some of my favorite posts I have read recently:
There have been lots of witty comments about the suggestive title, but I’ll just share an 80’s video. Remember this one? (And no, the song has absolutely nothing to do with diabetes. If only the FDA would move fast!)
(E-mail and feed subscribers click over for embedded 80’s music video, the lyrics of which will now be stuck in your head all day!)
Friends For Life (I was there in spirit!)
Bigfoot Child Have Diabetes FFL Recap (Great notes from her week at the Friends For Life conference. I think it’s worth the trip just for the Gary Scheiner and Joe Solo sessions!)
Death of a Pancreas Friends For Life…My Thoughts (I want to move to that commune, too!)
Our Diabetic Life Sharing Responsibly? (I watched this session online and I was irritated the the “expert” said several times that she only trusts moderated message boards. I think there is tremendous value in reading blogs written by other d-parents who get it. And I don’t know many parents who don’t put the long-term interest of their d-kids first. I could go on and on!)
Consumer Reports FDA Proposed Action Level for Arsenic in Apple Juice (As if we don’t have enough to worry about! I’ve been following this issue for a while and try not to buy juice that’s from China.)
Simple Bites Travel snacks and an easy Chocolate-Oat Cereal Bar recipe (These look great. A substitution of milk-free chocolate chips and we’re good to go!)
Thanks For The Shout Out!
