D-Mom Blog Type 1 Tuesday

Featured D-Blogs of the Week

Here are some of my favorite posts I have read recently:

The White House Blog: 50 States, 50 Stories – New Health Care Website Launches Today (Two important pieces of the Patient’s Bill of Rights: bans discrimination against kids with pre-existing conditions and allows young adults to remain on their parents’ plan until their 26th birthday.)

Reyna of Beta Buddies: Rendered Useless (I can’t imagine. Q’s teachers & school staff always comment that she is so good at recognizing when she is going low. I wonder if that is making them over confident. What will happen when she’s low so fast that she doesn’t have time to tell someone?)

Cindy of Eaten Alive: I Wish… (Sometimes the fundraising walks are not really about fundraising, in my opinion.)

Heather of Sweet to the Soul: D-Feast Friday Cinnamon Pancakes (Yum-o! I’ve got to give this a try.)

Fooducate Blog: Coming Soon? FDA Plans Nutrition Label Upgrades (I have always wondered why there isn’t a daily value for added sugars. And an explanation of “natural” would be extremely helpful!)

Sherry of Jenna’s Pet Monkey: A Pancreas I am Not (How easy it is to blame ourselves for little mistakes, but think of all the time we get it right!)

Jamie of Blonde Mom Blog: It Takes A Village, And Lots of Vino (This isn’t D-related, but I adore Jamie and this post is so true. Pass the wine.)

Loved all of these posts by amazing D’ Mamas. I just read the Fooducate Blog. I have always wondered what the heck “natural flavorings” meant – sounds suspicious, doesn’t it?

Thanks for the mention, Leighann! The support I received and continue to receive from you and others with regards to that unfortunate mistake was and still is so very needed and appreciated. We’re all in this together. xo
