Featured D-Blogs of the Week

Here are some of my favorite posts I have read recently:

Katie of Musician Mama: Beneath the Surface… (I think this is the best comparison that I have ever heard when it comes to caring for a child with diabetes.)

George Simmons of The B.A.D. Blog: The “Ninjabetic Weekend” Post (George celebrated his 20th anniversary with diabetes this past weekend and the DOC showed him such love and support.)

Cherise Shockley of Diabetic_lz_Me: Let’s All Stop Diabetes (And I thought Suga Sheen was good!)

Naomi of Diabeteen: Hi, My name is Naomi and I have Type 1 Diabetes… (Earlier this year I asked you to help Naomi with her survey and now she has her own blog. Welcome Naomi officially to the DOC.)

Amy Tenderich of Diabetes Mine: Face-Time with a Pharmacist vs. Mail Order Meds (Personally, I use the local Walgreens. Dave the Pharmacist, as I lovingly call him on Twitter, is always helpful.)

Lorraine Sisto of This is Caleb: Cliff Scherb | Triathlete and Inspiration (I’m always so pleased to find another person who is not physically held back by diabetes. Go Cliff, go!)

Jules of Muffinmoon: Some Questions… (What would you do? This is a tough situation to navigate.)

Catalog Living: Something to crow about… (Not related to diabetes at all, but I get a chuckle out of this blog and this entry cracked me up on so many personal levels being a mostly vegetarian myself.)

Thank you for mentioning “let’s all stop diabetes”. PWD’s can’t advocate by ourselves. Age ain’t nothing but a number when it comes to advocating for diabetes:)
