I’m still recovering from Diabetes Blog Week. In fact I still owe you a Day 7 post. But I was not inspired at all by the last topic. I wrote and deleted, wrote and deleted. I never could write something that wouldn’t be construed as negative by those who do think a lot about a cure or that was genuinely positive in outlook. The only thing I could really think of was letting my daughter go on playdates…at other people’s homes. I think I realized I need to leave the wishing, hoping, and praying to someone else and just keep on keeping on like I do now.
So here are just a few recent posts from the community that I would like to highlight. I starred about a gazillion posts in the last few weeks, but in the frenzy of blog reading and adding about a hundred new blogs to my feed, there was no way to keep up.
Featured D-Blogs of the Week
Here are some of my favorite posts I have read recently:
Mike of The Type 1 Game: CGM Buddies (He wore a CGM monitor to experience what his daughter does.)
Amy of Diabetes Mine: Voting Now OPEN for the 2010 DiabetesMine Design Challenge Finalists! (Vote for your favorite Diabetes Design Challenge entries.)
Bennet of Your Diabetes May Vary: Bayer Didget First Look (Read his first thoughts on this new glucose meter…or you will die. My own thoughts are coming soon!)
Renata of Diabetic Duo: What Did I Learn From Diabetes Blog Week? (Her reflections. I wanted to reflect, but was too worn out!)
Meri of Our Diabetic Life: Lost (She reflects on the parallels between diabetes and the TV show Lost.)
Mike of The Diabetic’s Corner Booth: Back to D-Camp (I bet the parents of T1 children were reassured to meet an adult with diabetes.)
